CENTER FOR SIGHT, INC. is Hiring a Clinical Supervisor Near Watertown, NY

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating ophthalmic medical staff, day-to-day operations of the clinic and satellite offices while ensuring quality patient care. Must work effectively with physicians, staff, patients, public and external agencies. This individual will plan, update, and monitor continuing education for department staff. Responsible for orientation and competency assessment programs and conducts ongoing evaluation of staff performance.

Duties would include but not limited to:

  • Develops, establishes, and oversees clinical operating policies and procedures
  • Helps establish/implement goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for the clinic
  • Coordinates and supervises daily functions of all staff for compliance with clinic standards
  • Acts as a guide and coach to clinical department staff in managing departmental or inter-departmental needs and communications
  • Facilitates communication between doctors, management, and all team members
  • Understands patient flow and the all support roles
  • Ensures maintenance and calibration of all ophthalmic equipment
  • Maintains department schedules to ensure appropriate staffing and competency levels to achieve optimum performance
  • Monitors patient satisfaction and feedback implementing continuous improvement
  • Partners with Clinic Manager and clinical staff to ensure quality care and leads quality improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrates appropriate delegation and coordination of tasks and duties for clinical operations
  • Maintains relationship and acts as the liaison with Regions COMT program
  • Partners with Clinic Manager and staff to ensure quality care and leads quality improvement initiatives
  • Works with Leadership team in creating a customer/patient-focused environment
  • Coordinates monthly one-on-one meetings with staff
  • Coordinates monthly Team meeting
  • Attends monthly Supervisor Meetings
  • Attends monthly Leadership Team Meetings
  • Performs other duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • AA degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 Years of previous supervisory experience required
  • Ophthalmic experience, or specialty-clinic experience preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
