We have an amazing opportunity for a Medical Director to join a new BMC behavioral healthcare continuum located in Brockton, MA that expands the access to care for our valuable populations. BMC Brockton Behavioral Health Center (BBHC) and CSS includes three inpatient psychiatry units totally 80-beds and a 26-bed Clinical Stabilization Service (CSS). BBHC operates as a behavioral health accountable care organization providing cutting edge inpatient treatment and stabilization for individuals experiencing complex mental health and substance use treatment needs.
Position Summary
The Medical Director of Addiction Services and Inpatient Consultation is a key leader at the BMC BBHC, partnering with leaders in psychiatry, nursing and operations to ensure delivery of high quality, efficient care in coordination with external partners. This individual is responsible for supervising advanced practice providers providing addiction and medical care at the CSS and inpatient psychiatry facilities, as well as leading key quality improvement and workforce development initiatives at the CSS in support of the facility's strategic goals. In addition, the individual provides patient care at the CSS.
This role is designed to be 60% time; we anticipate that the individual could spend the remainder of their time in inpatient hospital, primary care, or addiction medicine role(s) at the BMC main campus, depending on available opportunities; there is also flexibility to explore other opportunities (such as research or teaching roles) based on the candidate's interests and the institution's needs.
