The Transportation Management Control Intern will use advanced analytics to identify gaps in the overall supply chain and will be given the opportunity to lead subsequent improvement projects. The intern will be responsible for supporting Project Leads and Material Planners with projects, reporting, and any additional tasks.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

* Transportation Projects- Support department in all Transportation Projects (Operational, Contract Management, Returnable Container Operations, Freight Damages, Outbound Shipping) Damaged Freight Incident Report (DFIR).

* Troubleshoot upstream process partner errors that impact departments performance.

* Reporting- Conducts data processing in SAP. SQL, Power BI i.e. running weekly and daily reports. May include data mining, creating and maintaining visualization tools, etc.

* JIT/JIS tasks- Assist JIT/JIS and SCM Project Leads.

* Weekly Team Meeting- Facilitate Transportation team meeting.

* Training Documents- Ensure training documents and department website are up-to-date.

* Increase transparency of trailer and part-level data at the Plant, at our (CKD / SKD) semi-knocked down or completely-knocked down facilities, at our returnable container operation, and at the South Carolina Inland Port.

* Collaboration to further the development of the Plant 10 logistics cockpit (visualization).

* Document best practices, and support department champions for maturity model progression.

Qualifikation:

* Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.

* Strong interpersonal and technical skills (experience using Power BI, SQL, Data Lake, etc. is a bonus).

* Successful completion of previous internship/working student assignment within the BMW group (3-month period minimum).

* Current enrollment in Master program outside of the US or enrolled in the last semester of a Bachelor program outside of the US.

* Equivalent of 3.0 GPA.

* Must provide the following paperwork in English:
