Cedar Valley Medical Specialists PC is Hiring a Medical Office Specialist Near Waterloo, IA

Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Office Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Office Specialist, you will ensure that our healthcare facility runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent customer service to patients. 

Responsibilities:

- Managing patient records and ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date. 

- Scheduling appointments and ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient care. 

- Providing excellent customer service to patients and answering any questions they may have. 

- Coordinating with healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive the appropriate care. 

- Collecting co-pays 

- Updating patient demographics and insurance information

- Maintaining an organized and clean office environment. 

- Adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality. 

- Providing administrative support to healthcare providers as needed. 

This position is full-time. Monday through Friday. No weekends. No holidays. CVMS offers competitive health, vision, and dental insurance. 401K-match. Profit sharing opportunities available.

Our staff of more than 400 includes specialized physicians as well as advanced practice and mid-level providers and support staff across dozens of healthcare specialties. We are headquartered in Waterloo, and all of our physicians, clinics, and labs are located in and around the Cedar Valley so that we may better serve our entire community. 

Requirements

 - High school diploma or equivalent. 

- Proficiency in medical terminology helpful. 

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

- Excellent communication and customer service skills. 

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
