*Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-5pReceives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the establishment. Counts, measures, or weighs articles to verify contents of shipments against invoices by performing the following duties. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESReceiving:Receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklift.Weighs or counts items received to ensure conformance to company standards.Conveys materials and items from receiving area to storage or other designated areas.Opens bales, crates, and other containers.Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.Confirm part quantity matches PO quantity.Receive purchase orders into the MRP system.Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.Unloads and unpacks incoming shipments and drives vehicle to transport received items to designated areas. SUPERVISIONWorks under general supervision on varied, but standardized tasks. REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma required.Must have clear understanding of basic math and have the ability to read, write and comprehend English (work orders, safety and operational instructions, picklist).Must have working knowledge of statistical process control. Computers, internet, email, knowledge of LTL Freight Carriers general process’ and terms. WORK ENVIRONMENTSpends 100% of time in shop. May be exposed to possible shop hazards including heavy machinery, fumes, dust, heat and high pressure and temperatures.
