Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated CNC Operator for our Houston manufacturing facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual meeting these requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have experience operating Haas CNC Lathe with live tooling.
- Changing jaws as necessary for the proper work holding of raw material.
- Uploading and executing the provided CNC programs to produce parts in line with engineering drawing tolerances.
- Logging and recording dimensions as needed.
- De-burring parts as and when necessary.
- CAD/CAM: Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is a bonus, though it isn't a strict requirement.
- Making necessary adjustments to offsets as required.
- Ensuring the traceability of machined parts by engraving the required information.
- Inspecting the manufactured parts to ensure they meet the drawing specifications.
- Installing and teaching the appropriate tooling as per the setup sheet.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, tool holders and other accessories
- Reading, numeracy, and English language skills for effective oral and written communication
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S) advantageous
- Ability to work on own initiative and self-motivated
- Desire to learn
