iHeartMedia Job Summary: Candidate will work with the Communications team to help manage the day-to-day relationships between members of the media and iHeartMedia. This position is responsible for working with various iHeartMedia divisions to evaluate and implement potential publicity opportunities around new initiatives on a local and national basis as well as assist in publicity coordination with strategic partners. This full-time position reports to the Executive Vice President of Communications for iHeartMedia. Responsibilities: Support the NPP and Entertainment Enterprises division with all external press communication including pre, post and onsite press execution building awareness and garnering press value and impressions on various events and programming initiatives. Responsible for planning and executing the publicity strategy including the development of press materials and approval vetting for company music initiatives including AIPs, On the Verge, World Premieres, exclusive iHeartMedia content, targeted music pitches, etc. Responsible for the planning and executing the publicity strategy for the iHeartRadio Theater LA including coordinating all things related to PR for the show with artist camps, sales partner and press. Responsible for planning and executing publicity strategy for partnerships, marketing, sales and sponsorship divisions including sales partnerships, campaigns, product integration partnerships, event sponsorships and collateral support needs building awareness and garnering press value and impressions on various sales events initiatives. Support the planning and execution of iHeartMedia tentpole events PR including development of press materials, pre-event press, onsite press event and red carpet execution and post distribution. Coordinate and staff press crews for various events including theater performances, executive interviews, and tent pole events. Responsible for story placement in top tier and trade press outlets through release distribution, phone and email pitching, etc. on events, sponsorship angles, etc. Oversee third party agency support on various projects. Support iHeartMedia’s 850 stations on the development and editing of press materials, statements, FAQs and guidance on distribution execution on a timely basis for local and regional music and event initiatives. Responsible for supporting press inquiries, developing and/or reviewing responses as it relates to the programming, music and entertainment part of our business. Responsible for story placement in top tier music, entertainment, business and trade press outlets through release distribution, phone and email pitching, etc. Oversee third party agency support on various projects Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts including day-to-day pitching and media coordination. Strong focus on music, entertainment and trade reporters. Help in the coordination of various print and multimedia projects such as media kits, event invites, b-roll packages, MNRs, SMTs, wire distribution, sizzle reels, media rooms, etc. Remain knowledgeable of world and industry events, as they may affect the company’s planning and reputation. Anticipate and address questions and concerns through the preparation of talking points and Q&A. Utilize timely happenings to company’s advantage when applicable. General Requirements: Strong media relations experience including pitching press contacts, excellent oral and written communications, and sharp editing skills Strong media contacts in the music and entertainment industry Strong management & organizational skills Advanced experience in developing and executing red carpets, press events and publicity shoots Strong work ethic, ability to work well under pressure & multi-task Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and overnight travel 5 years of experience in the development and execution of communication plans and public relations programs. BA/BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field Reports into the Executive Vice President of Communications.
