Senior Software Architect Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * CACI is seeking a cleared Senior Software Architect to support critical software development activities for our client Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) in Huntsville, AL What You'll Get to Do: * You will provide full lifecycle software engineering support for weapon systems, subsystems, and/or components to the S3I acquisition community, the U.S. Army, and other customers (DoD, private industry, Joint Services, and foreign governments) for weapon system research, development, production, and post-deployment activities * Leverage the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to implement agile practices for the enterprise to promote alignment, collaboration, and delivery across agile teams. * Design, develop, integrate, and demonstrate software applications with a focus on quality, reliability, and performance. * Lead vendor relationships, collaborating with external partners to ensure successful project delivery. * Work closely with Research Labs to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. * Apply project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum to effectively plan and execute software development projects. * Design, code, test, and evaluate application programs and functions to meet customer requirements * Gather and refine specifications and requirements, reviewing Software Specifications, Requirements Documents, and Design Documents. * Create and maintain test plans, procedures, and other relevant software documentation. More About the Role: S3I's mission is to develop and deliver responsive aviation and missile total life cycle systems engineering, prototyping, cyber, software, protective technologies, and systems simulation engineering to enable readiness and ensure modernization of the U.S. Army to optimize joint Warfighter capabilities at the point of need. The S3I provides collaborative and innovative life cycle systems engineering, software engineering, modeling and simulation, systems development, prototyping, and technical systems management products and solutions. You'll Bring These Qualifications: * Active Secret Security Clearance. TS/SCI Clearance is must be obtainable
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* 10 years of experience designing, developing, integrating, and demonstrating software applications.
* Demonstrated Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
