Position Overview:

Professional position involving accounting duties for Cayuga Medical Center, Cayuga Medical Center Foundation, Cayuga Medical Office Building Associates, Tompkins Office Management Systems, Cayuga Medical Equipment, Cayuga Physical Therapy, and CMC Pension Fund

What you'll do:

• Daily cash management
• Monthly assigned CMC journal entries
• Monthly reconciliation of assigned bank accounts
• Process loan debt and interest payments for CMC
• Monthly NYS sales tax preparation and submission
• Monthly CMC Health Facility Assessment preparation and submission
• Preparation of work papers and analysis for annual audits
• Preparation of monthly investment reconciliations
• All accounting functions for CMOBA, TOMS, and the CMC Foundation including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, audits, and annual budgets
• Preparation and submission of Foundation's tax returns
• Assistance with tax returns and YE 1099 forms
• Accounting for Foundation and CMC donations and restricted funds
• Account for scholarships, including "forgiveness" based on employee's worked hours
• Other appropriate responsibilities not noted above.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education - Bachelor's degree in an accounting/business-related field

Experience - Minimum of one year of employment in an accounting/business environment

Licensure - N/A

Physical Requirements - 90% sitting 10% standing
