The Routing Assistant will assist with daily operational administrative tasks involved with route planning and design, palletizing, and additional logistics-focused tasks, as assigned. Facilitate the efficient and timely delivery of customer orders through the use of Encompass software.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Strategize and execute daily routing functions for beverage delivery throughout the state of Florida. In addition, create routes that adhere to hours of service and weight laws and regulations.
• Assist with routing processes in other states of operation as needed.
• Assist with daily routing process by using software program Encompass Technologies to run reports, print driver manifests and invoices, and handle sales inquiries, among other tasks as assigned.
• Collaborate with Operations team to review and develop more efficient analytical systems and processes to accommodate company growth and improve Operational KPI’s.
• Maintain and update Encompass database with new account set-up, including: entering account information provided, working with the sales team to determine appropriate delivery windows and instructions, contacting customers to schedule delivery times, as needed.
• Evaluate and re-structure delivery areas throughout the state, working with Sales and Operations teams to ensure consistency and clear communication.
• Maintain adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Intermediate to expert skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong work ethic and proven previous work experience.
• Ability to remain organized and multi-task.
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently and as a group.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers and supervisor.
• Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
• Basic understanding of Cavalier Distributing products.
• Ability to speak and write the English language at least at the high school level is required.
• Ability to add and subtract, using whole numbers and decimals.
• Ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Computer Skills: MS Office (Excel).
• Analytical/Mathematical Skills.
• Accuracy, reliability, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Can add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Able to prepare reports and business correspondence.
• Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Demonstrate knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software and the ability to learn Encompass software and programs.
• Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
