For over 117 years, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens, and currently offers 160-plus programs and services for children, youth, adults, seniors, and those struggling with mental illness. STATEMENT OF THE JOB: The Director of Grant Management is the key leadership person in the office of Communications and Development and the Agency. This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and stewarding a robust partnership within the corporate and private foundation community, resulting in the underwriting and sponsorship of agency programs and services and special events. The Director will identify, adopt, and advance corporate and foundation goals and priorities in consultation with the Agency Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President of Communications and Development, and in collaboration with program leadership. Internally, the Director will positively engage staff, including senior management, program directors, and infrastructure departments, in the collaborative work of acquiring and maintaining foundation support. Externally, the Director will research grant opportunities, cultivate foundation interest in Catholic Charities, and ensure the production of responsive proposals and, where relevant, the timely completion of requested deliverables. * The lead all aspects of planning, creating, and submitting corporate and foundation grant proposals and reports, including maintain an annual plan for corporate and foundation grant proposals. * Develops and manage comprehensive and compelling proposals with the assistance of appropriate program support department staff. * Research and identify public and private grant funding sources compatible with the Agency's mission and vision. Plan and implement strategies to generate financial support. * Work collaboratively with Agency leadership to promote initiatives and programs to secure grant and sponsorship funding. * Oversee sponsorship solicitations for major Agency events by ensuring the coordination of prospects, response tracking, sponsor logistics, and post-event follow-up. * Monitor the progress of approved applications and communicate with funding sources through regular, quarterly, annual, and final reports. * Develops and monitors a system which ensures the timely forwarding of agreed upon deliverables. * Writes or supervises the writing of all requested reports. * Completes an annual report on grant activities for board of trustees, seeks board input and involvement in the acquiring of foundation support. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field * A minimum of 3 to 5 years of demonstrated success in corporate and foundation fundraising * Highly organized and detail oriented with strong writing and project management skills * Proficient computer skills sufficient to analyze data, write reports, and create presentations (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Proficiency in the use of Donor Perfect preferred; other fundraising platforms accepted * Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds * Able to travel to multiple locations within the five boroughs as needed.
