Job Description:

Caterpillar’s Resource Industries Operations & Products (RIOP) Human Resources Representative II assists in the administration of various human resource services and functions within the Denison, TX facility. The Denison site is home to approximately 200 employees in production, support, and management roles.

Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Consult with operations on manpower needs and partner with Talent Acquisition to fill

  • Manage all production job bids and award based on defined process

  • Lead production new hire orientation

  • Conduct production interviews

  • Participate in weekly final step grievance meetings

  • Support a three-shift operation workforce

  • Manage production employee rewards and performance management process

  • Provide counsel to management in areas of USW contract

  • Assist employees with HR related questions

  • Conduct and provide guidance / counsel associated with internal investigations

  • Track metrics and provide analysis to Leadership

  • Assist with design, implementation and administration of HR policies

  • Communication and consult on Labor Relations related policies/procedures

  • Assist with employee engagement activities and events

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related curriculum from an accredited college or university or 3 years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree

  • 1 year in a human resources related role such as HR Rep, HR Coach, Talent Acquisition, etc.

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Established human relations and effective communication skills to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.

  • Ability to communicate and build relationships across all workforce levels effectively.

  • Experience with a union represented workforce.

  • Ability to identify and improve internal and external processes related to local HR functions

  • Experience using Workday.

The primary location for this position is Denison, TX
