Catbird, a DTC fine jewelry brand, is looking for an experienced Director of IT to help transition us to fully-integrated, efficient and frictionless technology solutions. The Director of IT will be working across multiple departments (warehousing, retail, manufacturing and e-commerce) to partner with department heads on establishing and refining systems to meet their department’s goals. Your first project will be completing an ERP implementation and integrating it with other key softwares. You will need a strong background in integrations and must be ready to roll up your sleeves. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three days a week in our Brooklyn NY office.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead Netsuite implementation across multiple departments. Working hands on with our implementation partners and our business owners, to stand up the ERP and integrate with our legacy systems.
• Work with our Ecommerce department to ensure successful website updates and platform management.
• Analyze the business requirements of all departments to identify and satisfy their technology needs in accordance with the technology strategy
• Devise and establish IT policies, processes and systems
• Implement a streamlined IT Portfolio Management process to review, prioritize and fund IT roadmap components
• Manage all technology vendor partners in conjunction with relevant department heads, acting as a bridge and resource and creating cost-efficient contracts
• Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
• Control budget and report on expenditure
• Build out the department hiring plan as needed, to ensure growth and development for team members

• Successful ERP implementation experience with Netsuite or similar ERP required
• Experience overseeing, and ideally building, integrations between ERP and other softwares
• Application architecture experience developing high-level solutions for business applications, systems and portfolios across an entire enterprise. 
• Experience in ecommerce, either in-depth with a single platform or familiarity with multiple platforms (strong preference for experience with Magento2)
• Preferably experience in retail or manufacturing and/or a company with many very different departments with specialized needs. 
• Must be willing to roll up their sleeves and work hands on.
• Experience actively managing vendors 
• Experience with ITIL process implementation (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) preferred 
• Development and implementation of IT services and solutions including security, networking, data integration and data management preferred
• Experience sourcing IT systems including analysis, evaluation, selection, and implementation of IT systems and their specifications
• Must be be deeply curious and thrive on problem solving
• Must possess a sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
• Excellent organization, communication and leadership skills
• 7-10 years in mid-size company where you were responsible for the broader IT health
