Florida Gators is Hiring an Intern Athletic Trainer (Golf & Tennis) - Sports Health Performance Near Gainesville, FL
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an intern athletic trainer to assist in delivering athletic training services to Florida Gators Golf and Tennis. Other duties include providing coverage for the athletic training facility, supervising athletic training students, and traveling overnight as required by the sport. This is a time-limited position with an option for a second year if essential criteria is met. This posting will close end of business day on May 3, 2024. This position has an estimated start date in the summer of 2024. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Certified Athletic Training Program by the start date
BOC Certification and Florida Licensure eligible within 30 days of hire
Current ARC or AHA Certification
A valid driver's license
Highly organized individual with a positive attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight team travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an intercollegiate or professional athletics environment
