Position Summary: As a Project Finance Analyst I you will play an important role in ensuring the financial accuracy of projects. You will partner with cross-functional teams to create accurate invoicing and forecasting. Maintain analyses and metrics for reporting to management. Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment using creative techniques to solve problems and address challenges raised by project teams, clients, and management. 

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Work directly with project leads to understand current project status and any potential changes in scope that would require amendments. 
• Analyze operational project data as it pertains to relevant financial metrics. 
• Work with project leads to determine current month revenue and future revenue forecast. 
• Prepare and present gross margin analyses to project teams and management. 
• Maintain project backlog. 
• Work with project leads to understand use of contractors and forecast contractor cost. 
• Analyze project hours and prepare analyses for project teams and management. 
• Prepare and distribute monthly invoices to clients, inclusive of any requested monthly client reporting. 
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections. 
• Reconcile project finance balance sheet accounts. 
• Support Proposals & Contracts team in the development of Contract Amendments and Change Notification Forms. 
• Prepare metrics and/or slides for monthly and/or quarterly client reviews. 
• Prepare ad hoc analyses as requested by management.

Position Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or other related field. 

Experience:

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in operational/project finance role 
• Experience in invoicing, collections, and project analysis 
• Background in Clinical Research is preferred 
• Experience in accounting is preferred including account reconciliation and journal entries 

Required Certifications: N/A

• Skilled in entire MS Office Suite 
• Advanced in Excel 
• Ability to organize and present data in a meaningful way 
• Enhanced communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with cross-functional teams
