Career Area: Marketing / Sales / Product Support Job Description: We are looking for a video editor to join our team of producers, editors, motion graphic designers, art directors and client services staff. Our team is an internal marketing agency that works with a globally diverse team including internal marketing clients, corporate communications staff and our executive office. We are looking for someone with strong creative, professional and technical skills as well as a good personality that will thrive in a collaborative environment. This is a full-time position, however at times the position will require more than 40 hours per week to meet client deadlines. Editors are also expected to be able to fill off-hours requests from time to time when required. JOB DUTIES: Support the video producer team by completing videos from finish audio and video edits to complete production utilizing raw footage and audio. The finished piece should tell a good story. Editors must have good communication skills and be able to work directly with clients to do sometimes multiple revision edits. Ensures corporate legal, safety, patent, copyright, brand, voice and image parameters are met by the final product. Corporate information handling requirements must also be followed. Estimate the editing cost portion of video projects and recommend alternative treatments based on technical, time and cost limitations. Provide postproduction editing/audio mix/color correction/motion graphics according to the defined treatment. This entails mixing, enhancing, and repairing audio as well as compositing video (multiple formats and frame rates) and graphics to provide a professional and creative product that meets the client’s communications needs. The editor is responsible for working within the team workflow parameters to ensure process consistency within the team as well as archiving edit project files and final deliverables. Stays current with the video production industry trends and technology advancements; recommends equipment and software acquisitions or updates. 3D motion graphics skills are a plus. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in communications or mass media or equivalent work related experience. Two plus years of experience in video production and post-production including experience with editing software, such as Final Cut Pro X, Premiere Pro CC, or DaVinci Resolve.
