JOB SUMMARY: Provide regional coordination and support for local Line Unit regulatory and compliance program activities in accordance with Enterprise policies and procedures and applicable local regulatory requirements. Coordinate the required interface and reporting to Cat Financial Compliance Department as well as completion and tracking of all compliance, reporting and regulatory functions for the Line Unit. JOB SUMMARY: Provide marketing communications support in the areas of advertising, promotions and public relations by focusing on the needs and requests of Caterpillar customers and dealers and Financial Products Division sales personnel. Develop and implement promotional strategies that directly support the sales efforts at the region, territory and dealership level. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with creative resources and unit management to develop and implement advertising messages, strategies and focused campaigns. Utilizing advertising agency resources, develops and recommends channels of communication for advertising (media buying), including developing and maintaining relationships with trade publication personnel and working with vendors to ensure smooth implementation. Ensures compliance with Caterpillar Global Advertising Framework and other external advertising regulations as needed. Develops editorial content for print in trade publications. Works with creative resources and unit management to develop and implement promotional materials such as market-specific brochures, sales kits and multimedia sales presentations. Recommend effective promotional strategies and channels based on market need and target audience. Facilitates the use of promotional materials. Coordinates and implements tradeshow and special event participation by with working external vendors, Caterpillar business units and Financial Products Division (FPD) representatives. With support from Global Brand Management, works directly with Marketing Managers/Support Reps. and field force to determine needs, answer requests and educate office personnel on the use of the corporate logo. Serve as a Cat Brand Advocate and complete necessary training on brand standards and guidelines. Develops positive relationships with Caterpillar Inc. public affairs, which are vital to the promotion of the FPD within the Caterpillar organization. Shares information regularly with Public Affairs and Marketing Communication editors and staff. Implements strategic planned initiatives to have FPD appear regularly in internal communications channels (e.g. corporate Intranet and business unit newsletters). Manages the development and approval process for corporate press releases by working with Corporate Public Affairs, Legal and unit management as needed. Assists the Marketing Managers in efforts to work more closely with product groups. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with marketers from product groups. Implements Caterpillar global marketing campaigns for FPD worldwide. Promotes the inclusion of FPD messages in product group external and internal communications (e.g. proposes and writes articles for customer publications produced by product groups). Provides a consistent contact for product group marketers who need support in planning national advertising and other promotional strategies. Coordinates FPD’s international subsidiaries’ participation with Caterpillar marketing business units in joint advertising and dealer facing communications. Works with dealers to establish and implement cooperative advertising projects. Works with Marketing Managers/Support Reps. and Media Coordinator to develop content for the Extranet and Internet sites and Social Media outlets; implement new sites and coordinate future/ongoing updates. Develops and manages communications to Cat dealer personnel, including regular newsletters and special announcements as needed, by working with Marketing Managers/Reps. and unit management. Utilizes external suppliers to manage the distribution of materials. Manages promotional literature levels. Monitors existing levels, establishes re-ordering quantities, and works with vendors and suppliers to keep needed quantities on hand. Distributes materials as needed. Works with current suppliers to create and maintain correct contact information for the distribution of all promotional materials. Manages and coordinates video and photo shoots for promotional materials, including scripting and creative direction, by working with creative suppliers and internal video production resources. Manages and tracks budgets for projects to effectively utilize company resources to serve both new and existing global marketing communications needs. Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Understands the Harassment policy of the company and is responsible for its application in all aspects of employment. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated ability to write and edit copy/communications. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A 4-year college or university degree in Marketing Communications, Mass Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years exempt experience, which is in a related, relevant industry is recommended.
