Visiting Angels, Eugene's premier in-home care provider is currently looking to fill the position of Caregiver Mentor in our Operations Department. If you have multiple years of experience Caregiving, a flair for showing others how its done and a willingness to serve, we'd love to give you a place to shine! 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position's primary responsibility is insuring Caregiver Support after being hired. The Caregiver Mentor will be responsible for activities that help develop the Caregiver’s knowledge and skills so they are able to confidently provide care to Visiting Angels clients without assistance.

The Caregiver Mentor will collaborate with Operations to determine to readiness and appropriate support needed for assigned caregivers and will play an integral role in the company’s efforts of upholding the Mission Statement of Cassiel DBA Visiting Angels, which states, “We provide a profoundly remarkable experience.”

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Instruct Fundamental Personal Care Classes • Provide Mentorship and training on shifts with assigned caregivers • Determine if caregiver needs additional training in order to work independently • Gather feedback from caregivers. Follow up on any needs and provide information to Operations Manager for use to improve caregiver support process • Assist with organization, set up and hosting of monthly caregiver open houses • Complete scheduled in person meetings or calls with new caregivers for at least first 90 days

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP • Facilitate and support a culture of caring and excellence as it relates to both clients and employees • Consistently utilize and develop best management practices pertaining to organizational effectiveness within areas of responsibility • Demonstrate leadership and vision in managing processes • Effectively communicate details and facts in support of the organizations goals and objectives • Participate in community-oriented activities promoting Visiting Angels 

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS • Commitment to the Mission of Visiting Angels • Previous experience with High Acuity Patients • Previous Med Tech experience • Med Tech Certification and CNA is preferred • Excellent computer skills and proficiencies • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative abilities • Experience in case notes and medication logs • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards
This position is 40 hours per week.
