Cascadian Building Maintenance, Ltd. provided customers with quality building maintenance services throughout the greater Seattle area for over 25 years. We have full-time and part-time Night Janitor positions located in the cities of Seattle and Bellevue and other cities across King County, working in various environments, such as office, medical, industrial, and more. Duties include and are not limited to the following:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and removing/replacing/dumping trash bags
• Ensure cleanliness of areas; offices, conference rooms, rest rooms, kitchens, and other areas as needed
• Using equipment such as mops, brooms, vacuums, carts, gloves, and other equipment
• Resupplying items such as bath tissues, paper towels, soap, and other items
• Using chemical-based cleaning products to disinfect, sanitize, and generally clean areas
• Following training and direction from a supervisor (or foreperson delegated by a supervisor)
• Following policies, procedures, and practices, including matters related to Safety
• Other duties and responsibilities within the scope of work as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements include and are not limited to the following:

• Previous experience working as a Janitor or Day Porter is preferable but not needed
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferable but not needed
• Ability to use a smart phone to record time and do other employment tasks
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, lift, carry, push, and/or pull
• Stand/Walk – Constant – 67-100% - Not restricted
• Twist – Occasional – 11-33% - 1-3 Hours
• Bend/Stoop – Frequent – 34-66% - 3-6 Hours
• Squatting/Kneeling – Seldom – 1-10% - 0-1 Hours
• Reach – Both – Occasional to Constant
• Working above both shoulders – Frequent – 34-66% - 3-6 Hours
• Lift/Carry – minimum 1lb. to 20lb. – Occasional – 11-33% - 1-3 Hours
• Push/Pull – up to a 40-50lb. janitorial cart
• Push/Pull – up to a 40-50lb auto scrubber – Occasional – 11-33% - 1-3 Hours
• If floating to locations, must use their own vehicle, have a driver’s license, an insured car, provide their driving record, and complete fleet safety training
