As the Executive Chef you will consistently provide a fine dining experience to residents of the senior living community in accordance with Cascade Living Group policies and procedures to ensure that 5-star quality food service is provided at all times. What you can expect to do as a Executive Chef for Cascades of Bremerton:
·Responsible for assisting the Dining Services Director in ensuring that standards of meal quality, flavor, presentation, and cost are consistentlyattained.
·This position leads and directs the back-of-the-house staff and oversees the operations of the main kitchen, including menu development, inventoryand purchasing of supplies, and costcontrol.
What Cascade Living and Cascades of Bremerton look for in an Executive Chef:
·Associate degree in the Culinary Arts and 3 years of experience, or, 7 or more years’ experience as a sous or executive chef in high-end, senior living communities, hotels or countryclubs.
·Ability to hire, train and manage food service personnel, and provide effective work direction.
·Ability to manage time effectively and setpriorities.
·Ability to effectively carry out and implementchange.
·Knowledge of culinaryterminology.
·Ability to plan menus and bring creativity to the art of food preparation daily.
·Ability to accurately follow and expandmenus.
·Extremely skilled in culinary techniques, including menu design, food preparation and artistic food design.
·Ability to operate kitchen and foodequipment.
·Ability to operate computer equipment for data entry andretrieval.
·Experience and/or knowledge of special diets and meal preparation for largegroups.
·Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
·Daily dedicated focus on sanitation, organization, and safety.
