Casana is Hiring a Director, Brand Communications Near Boston, MA

Job Overview

The Director of Marketing & Communications should share our vision of enabling healthcare in the home, through innovative effortless monitoring solutions, and will play a pivotal role in the company (with room for growth). This autonomous role for a marketing director will spearhead building the Marketing & Communications function at Casana and will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Casana advertising strategy, creative strategy, and media strategy. 
  • Execute marketing campaigns across all channels to drive user growth, revenue, awareness and customer acquisition.
  • Develop and optimize digital marketing content including copy, images, and videos utilizing data-based best practices to drive conversion.
  • Conduct market research and set up tests for new marketing channels and campaigns, using results to further optimize strategy. 
  • Lead brand events, Casana’s media relations, PR, and speaking engagements, including building creative assets / collateral.
  • Manage Casana’s website and blog.
  • Help lead our first public product launch.
  • Work closely with a range of cross-functional teams - product managers, sales, and engineering - to develop go-to-market marketing strategy and drive launches for our products.
  • Utilize market research to feed into the marketing strategy, honing in on the right channels to deliver the KPIs including offline and online.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging informed by research, market insights, and product understanding.
  • Partner with external partners, e.g. brand agencies, when necessary to bring our brand and marketing strategy to life.
  • Inform the marketing technology stack including demand generation, marketing automation, and analytics.
  • Establish quarterly OKRs for all paid channels and track progress of overall marketing program.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4 years of relevant experience in a high growth startup with work that spans consumer marketing, growth, and digital marketing. 
  • Experience working on marketing throughout a product’s lifecycle.
  • Experience working in B2B and B2C settings. 
  • Experience working with and leading highly collaborative cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with marketing strategy & planning.
  • Master storyteller who can craft compelling narratives across different channels.
  • A strong communicator and collaborator, works effectively across all members of the organization. Can communicate ideas and results clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical and strategic, solution-oriented with a bias for using data to drive action and solutions.
  • Adaptable and enthusiastic to take on assignments as needed to support the team.
  • Experience managing a budget across paid and organic channels.
