We're looking for full-time Case Managers to join our truancy services program in Philadelphia!

The Truancy Intervention & Prevention team at Carson Valley Children's Aid provides case management services to students with excessive absences from school, addressing the underlying issues behind truancy and helping youth to thrive. As a Case Manager, you will identify barriers to attendance, advocate for youth in court, and connect students and families with valuable resources.

Vaccination Requirements: Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (2 doses Moderna/Pfizer or 1 dose J&J).

Role Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Flexible 40-hour week. Must be able to meet with youth and families in the early evening hours on a regular basis and participate in occasional weekend activities.

Work Setting: Primarily working in the community at schools, courthouses, family homes, etc. Some office work at our Logan/Olney location.

Essential Job Functions:

• Complete an assessment for each youth and family referred to the program, identifying strengths and needs.
• Participate in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of plans to increase school attendance and developmental assets.
• Meet with each youth and family monthly to assess progress, provide referrals, and offer supportive counseling.
• Conduct regular phone calls with assigned families
• Maintain consistent contact with school personnel and participate in school meetings.
• Complete and submit court reports in advance of scheduled hearing dates.
• Attend hearings and testify in Regional Court and/or Family Court.
• Maintain proper documentation for all cases.

Qualifications

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field (required)
• Some experience working directly with youth and families (preferred)
• Fluency in Spanish (preferred)
• Valid driver's license, daily access to a vehicle, and car insurance (required)
