FAMILY OFFICE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

The Position:

The Senior Accountant supports our family office. 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare timely and accurate bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
• Obtain approvals to pay and process accounts payable timely.
• Prepare and maintain subsidiary schedules for various financial statement accounts.
• Analyze financial results to ensure integrity of financial reporting.
• Prepare and post general journal entries as needed.
• Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple entities with commentary and analysis.
• Prepare and maintain daily cash balances and transactions.
• Prepare, distribute, and reconcile monthly expense reporting.
• Provide information required for external preparation of tax returns.
• Maintain log of fixed assets and capitalized costs.
• Actively identify opportunities for payables process improvement and assist with implementation.
• Special projects as assigned. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a regionally accredited university required. 
• 5-7 years previous accounting experience required.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and related accounting business systems.
