Salary: Depends on Qualifications Location : Cape Girardeau, MO Job Type: Full-Time Job Number: 202400089 Division: Academic Affairs Department: Autism Center Opening Date: 04/19/2024 Position Summary Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Southeast Missouri State University Autism Center for Diagnosis and Treatment Full time Duties and Responsibilities:
Room patients being seen for medical follow-up and diagnostic evaluations
Obtain patient vitals and complete other designated nursing responsibilities
Assist with coordination of diagnostic and medical follow-up clinic flow
Triage patient phone calls and assist with family resource navigation
Perform appropriate charting and upload necessary patient-related documents to electronic medical records system with attention to detail
Complete authorizations, referrals and orders in collaboration with and under direction of diagnostic clinician(s)
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe patient care environment
Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and other professionals
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Licensed as a practical nurse (LPN) in the state of Missouri
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
Experience working in a pediatric clinic and/or with children with developmental disabilities a plus
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to pass a background check
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to communicate and collaborate professionally with families, staff, students and community partners
