Requirements

 ROLE ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Train and manage maintenance personnel at all locations.
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures using the necessary tools.
  • Estimate cost to repair machines or equipment.
  • Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
  • Doing whatever is necessary to ensure “UP TIME”, at all times, under my watch.
  • Contributing in objectively measurable ways to the success of all others in the organization.
  • Being irrevocably engaged in our business interests and long-range business potential.
  • Helping my manager become the most productive, highest performing leader in the industry.
  • Working out differences with my peers or supervisors in a timely, direct, open and honest fashion.
  • Offering ideas for continuous improvement and embracing change when adopted by the organization.

SUCCESS FACTOR SNAPSHOT:

First 30 Days:

  • Develop an intimate understanding of our organization, mission, products, team, clients, culture and role expectations.
  • Create SOP for prioritization, resource allocation and <10 day job order accountability

First 60 Days:

  • All freeze dryers are running, minimally, at 90% efficiency. Maintain going forward.
  • Create a “Critical Spare” program to support 100% up-time goals.

First 90 Days:

  • Submit maintenance budget for balance of 2018.
  • Plant equipment and product flow configuration completed.

Ongoing:

  • Fully utilize and leverage E-Maintenance software.
  • Launch TPM throughout organization.
  • Identify and develop your back-up for PTO/illness.
  • Promote General Plant Safety, Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Report issues with regards to the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to the Director of Quality Assurance or executive leadership team and adhere to the requirements of the FSMS.
  • Project Management – new installations, freeze dryer construction, facility expansion
  • Space allocation and utilization
  • Lead, coach, develop and mentor team
  • Maintain mutually beneficial vendor/contractor relationships
  • Manufacturing automation

Education: Bachelor’s degree or related work experience required.

Experience & Abilities:

  • Must be comfortable in a multi-cultural, refrigerated environment.
  • Must have a valid Wisconsin Driver’s license and own your own vehicle
  • Job requires exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently and or 10-20 pounds of force constantly.
  • Must be able to be on your feet all day.
  • Knowledge of meat processing equipment, OSHA and HAACP preferred.
  • Must speak, read, and write fluent English.
  • Intermediate computer skills a must.
