Carmeuse Lime & Stone is Hiring an Equipment Operator Near Battletown, KY

Responsibilities of the position includes operation of equipment to maintain the flow of materials and product; barge loading and unloading; performs general plant cleanup; feeds raw material to plant operations and other duties as assigned by management. This is a dynamic position that gains exposure to all areas of our operations, based on the business need. This position will have the opportunity to learn how to perform plant operations and maintenance as well as loading and unloading barges.

  • Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk/step between barges and docks on the water
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor conditions
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and physical
  • Troubleshooting experience
  • Use of mobile equipment
  • Basic understanding of preventative maintenance
  • Experience with mechanical equipment maintenance
  • Understanding of safety aspects (PPE, Confined Space Entry Permits, LOTO, etc.)
