The Survey Crew Chief functions as an experienced professional who will perform technical collection and electronic transfer of data, detailed record-keeping, adherence to safety practices, and supervision of field staff. Duties may vary from project to project. This position is based out of our Blaine, MN office;

Essential job duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Section subdivision surveys
• Boundary surveys
• Topographic surveys
• ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
• Construction layout and staking
• As-built surveys
• Act as a field technical manager on certain projects, overseeing projects as they move from initialization through final construction
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, inventory, repair, and inspections with supervisor or equipment manager
• Professional and complete written and electronic communication with internal staff and external clients
• Provide detailed record-keeping and field notes

Qualifications:

• 4 years of field experience
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned tasks
• Ability to work independently and with a crew
• Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of staff and personality types
• Proficiency in computer programs such as Trimble Business Office and Microsoft Office
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
