Available Position:
Graveyard C (midnight to 8 a.m.)
Inspector-packers (line workers) must report to the Lead desk ready to work at 11:55 p.m. (graveyard). Attendance and being on time is especially important.
Each shift has a Lead and mechanical Supervisor (one works maintenance). The Lead is the “go to” person for most shift issues. The Supervisor is the “go to” person for machine/production issues.
Employees work 40 hours per week. Overtime paid after 40 hours in one week.
Inspector/Packers main responsibilities:
Safety is the No. 1 priority and everyone’s responsibility – awareness of personal safety and surroundings, cleanliness of work area, location of emergency stops on machines, location of emergency exits and fire extinguishers.
If you have questions, your “go-to” people are Leads/Supervisors.
You attend monthly shift meetings, other Company employee functions, including mandatory trainings when directed. Each shift has a designated Safety Committee representative who attends that monthly meeting and brings selected monthly safety topic instruction, as well as other safety information to the shift meeting.
Inspector-packer wages:
Performance reviews evaluate skills, ability, reliability, attitude, output, quality of work, attendance, teamwork, respect, following directions, where applicable forklift driving.
Company benefits at 60 days:
$20K life insurance; health, dental and vision insurance paid at 90% for employees; optional 401K with company match 50 percent or up to 6% of wage (vested 100% after 6 years); optional Aflac supplemental reimbursement offer dental, vision hospital, cancer, disability, accident plans; optional Allegiance flex spending account for medical supplies, day care, approved Federal expenses.
Paid time off: 40 hours vacation eligible to take at end of 1 year, tenure 2-5 years get 80 hours, 5-10 years get 120 hours, 10 years get 160 hours. After first six months, vacation accrues approx. 1.54 hours per pay period for first two years of continuous employment. Unused vacation hours can roll for use next year.
Sick pay benefit: now, since Jan. 1, 2018, WA State law accrues 1 hour per every 40 worked. Can roll over up to 40 hours from one year to another, but cannot cash out unused sick pay. Should employee leave Company then return within 12 months, Company returns unused sick pay for employee calendar year to him/her.
Paid Family Medical Leave thru WA State law
Paid every other week on Thursdays (26 pay periods annually). Direct payroll deposit preferred.
All hires dependent on passing pre-employment drug test (excludes THC).
No cell phones, electronics on floor.
Production employees must wear hair nets (beard nets), gloves and ear plugs to prevent hearing loss.
Strict dress code:
Inspector-packer jackets, jewelry limited to plain band (no stones) under gloves, no piercings (facial, ears), closed toed shoes, no saggy clothes, long hair tied back, hats OK over hairnets, no food (water OK) in work area. Frequently change gloves, blow off garments.
