The Kitchen Manager is responsible for successful management of the residential kitchen which includes managing nutritional needs of the residents, daily meals/menu planning, food inventory and controls, adherence to safety and food handling regulations, as well as ensuring quality and timely meal preparation and distribution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position will have a work schedule that will include some evenings and/or weekends. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma and three years experience with planning, ordering and preparing food and food service supplies for groups of twenty or more. At least 6 months experience working in a similar capacity. Must have or be able to obtain a Public Health Food Service Licensure.
