We are looking for a Part-Time Special Needs Teacher at our Naples PPEC. Responsibilities include handling and caring for special needs children in a manner conductive to their safety and comfort under the direction of licensed nurses.

Education and Training:
(1) Experience - At least one year as a Lead Teacher in Toddler or Preschool classroom

(2) Education- Must hold degree in education or certification in early childhood development

(3) Annual Pediatric CPR certification

Examples of Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

(1) Accompanying our patients on transport to and from the center.

(2) Provides care, which may include bed bath, oral hygiene, combing hair, diaper changes, dressing patients, changing bed linen, cleaning patient supplies, straightening area, and other general care as necessary throughout the day.

(3) Provides care such as positioning patients; lifting and turning patients; applying/utilizing special equipment. Assist ROM prior to applying splints or braces.

(4) Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake & output measurements.

(5) Adheres to policies and procedures of the center

(6) Participates in socialization activities. Assist in child play time.

(7) Creates a calendar for daily developmental activities

(8) Prepares patient meals and assists with meals or feeds patients.
