Senior Scrum Master

Location: ONSITE: Colorado Springs, CO

Schedule: Full Time

Salary Range: $120K-$135K

OVERVIEW

Caribou Thunder is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to contribute to real agile delivery and facilitate the most effective application of agile principles and practices to meet our customers’ needs. This role will work within an agile team that is responsible for a suite of software applications that provide crucial capability for our customer’s mission. You’ll act as a ‘servant leader’ to the team, helping them to work effectively to deliver maximum value to our customers.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM plus 9 years of experience
• OR Master’s plus 7 years of experience
• OR PhD plus 4 years of experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate the efforts and collaboration of dedicated teams
• Facilitate team events such as iteration planning, iteration reviews, retrospectives and daily standups, and support activities such as backlog refinement
• Work with Product Owners to maintain a backlog of work and identify iteration priorities, scope, and goals
• Identify, eliminate, and escalate issues that are inhibiting team performance
• Drive team improvements while measuring team outputs and performance
• Communicate with Agile Release Train (ART) Leadership and outside stakeholders, as well as communicate information down to the teams
• Organize cross-team/cross-ART collaboration efforts
• Protect teams from uncontrolled expansion of work and unachievable commitments
• Coach teams and partner with ART leadership to foster agile principles, values, practices, tools, and the SAFe framework

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledgeable in Agile principles, practices, and methods
• Proven experience leading Agile teams or coaching and mentoring others

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Holds a recognized Scrum Master certification e.g. CSM, PSM I, SSM
