Role & Responsibility
Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will act as a strategic member of, and partner to, the executive team by managing and executing Cargomatic’s financial planning and budgeting process.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A function, including managing and enhancing capabilities and processes
  • Own the annual budgeting process and lead reforecasting the business throughout the year based on current trends
  • Build and own long-range model(s) to understand where we need to be driving the business to achieve critical outcomes
  • Analyze trends, KPIs, budgets vs actuals, etc.; analyze data to refine accuracy of projections, including risk and opportunity assessments, and support monthly accrual estimates
  • Work with project managers on complex one-off projects to build budgets and hold project manager/team accountable to it
  • Act as a strategic partner, providing financial expertise and guidance on how to evaluate investment opportunities to drive sustained revenue growth
  • Develop and maintain the highest quality business partnering activities with all business groups in the organization

Experience and Background 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience at a leading investment bank
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working in FP&A, preferably at a transportation/logistics organization
  • Experience in a leadership position at a “hyper growth” company with increasing complexity
  • Ability to be both strategic and hands on while operating in a resource constrained environment
  • Experience building deep business partner relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders
  • Extremely collaborative executive with a high level of self-awareness and strong communication skills both oral and written
