CareMax is Hiring a Remote Assistant Administrator (Homestead)

The Assistant Administrator provides support in overseeing the overall operation of the medical center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assists Center Administrator in the general supervision of personnel within the center.
  • Assists Center Administrator in training and performance evaluation of center staff.
  • Ensures patient flow is maintained throughout all areas of the center.
  • Addresses patients' concerns.
  • Ensures all areas of the medical center are maintained to the level of cleanliness required.
  • Participates and is involved in resolution of issues raised by center staff.
  • Ensures completion of monthly departmental reports and submits to Center Administrator or VP of Operations for review.
  • Assists Center Administrator in maintaining control of office and medical supplies as per established guidelines.
  • Assists Center Administrator in the development of the center's yearly budget.
  • Ensures adherence to budgeted goals in conjunction with Center Administrator.
  • Participates in the planning and development of activities within the center.
  • Supervises departments assigned by Center Administrator.
  • Works with Center Administrator to ensure center's compliance to company and regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Oversees maintenance and repair of medical and office equipment.
  • Conducts annual performance evaluations as applicable.
  • Performs duties of absent employees when situation so demands.
  • Acts as Center Administrator in his/her absence.
  • Attends regularly scheduled meetings as required. 
  • Accountable for membership growth and retention.
  • Responsible for orientation, training, and counseling of employees when appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Health related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in health care administration or related field preferred.
  • Ability to encourage employees and other individuals to align their priorities with the organization's aspirations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the organizational climate and use strategies for goal orientation and facilitating necessary change.
  • Can demonstrate ability to listen, write and effectively present information to senior management.
  • Ability to work courteously and effectively with the public.
  • Required to have a command of the English and Spanish language and be proficient with grammar, spelling and verbal skills to communicate with patients, providers and staff in written and oral communication.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have knowledge of computers, scanners, etc.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
