About Us:

Carefield Living, established in 2016 is a full-service senior living company with in-house management, development, and investment functions based in Solana Beach, California. We are looking to add a senior team member who can direct financial operations of the company. This is an exciting time to join the Carefield team as we expand our senior living platform throughout California. We currently own and operate four active assisted living and memory care communities and have seven additional senior living properties in the development process. With many years of experience in hospitality, real estate, and asset management, we have been able to leverage the significant resources of our hospitality-based financial partner with the goal of rapidly expanding our senior living platform through both acquisition and development of senior living communities. We also launched our “in-house” management company two years ago as the logical extension of our Carefield Living product - an exciting step for our company as we strive to deliver higher standards of quality and service through our senior living brand.

About You:

We’re looking for an experienced Director of Finance to join our team of high-performing senior living professionals. Our ideal candidate would have extensive experience in the financial management of a senior living company/platform (or comparable industry) and be able to build and manage a finance team, while making a significant contribution to the overall strategic direction and future success of the company. The ability to be a team player and develop strong relationships with internal team members and external customers is a must. We are looking for a well-rounded individual capable of team-based collaboration, coordination and communication in pursuit of the company mission to provide the best possible life experience for our senior living community residents and staff. Job Summary:

The Director of Finance is a member of the executive leadership team and has overall responsibility for the finances and implementation of the financial strategy of Carefield Living and its affiliates. The Director of Finance is responsible for managing and reporting on all fiscal and fiduciary affairs of the organization, including reporting to ownership, lenders, and other agencies; cash and investment management; budgeting and forecasting; and managing the

day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This corporate position works closely with the community Executive Directors, ownership, and banking relationships to ensure high quality service delivery, excellent customer service, and solid financial performance. Other duties include participation in various corporate projects and task forces as needed.

Additional Information:

Our home office is located in beautiful Solana Beach, in north county San Diego California. Our corporate staff typically enjoys the flexibility of a mix of in office and remote work, but primary hours are 9am-5pm Monday through Friday. Some occasional travel is to be expected. Depending on qualifications and experience, base compensation ranges from $150,000 to $180,000 per year with additional benefits and an annual performance-based bonus. Must pass background check and meet the company-wide requirement for current COVID vaccinations.
