Care Hospice is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Charlottesville, VA

Overview

Care Hospice is looking for a self-motivated Financial Analyst to join our growing and emerging team. We offer the opportunity to take on new challenges and a culture of teamwork that sets us apart.

**This position is based out of our Support Center Office, located in the Dairy Market with FREE parking. The role has the opportunity for flexible work and can be hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH). In addition, we are offering a $2,500 Sign-on Bonus!!**

The Financial Analyst will analyze and report on monthly financial statements and maintain databases and other sources of information. Financial Analyst will support strategic projects leveraging financial and analytic capabilities. Assists in the budget and acquisition forecasting process. Responds to Ad Hoc Reporting requests and answers questions from users of the financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes business and financial data.
  • Creates financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision-making.
  • Provides analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
  • Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.
  • New site and acquisition modeling and performance analysis.
  • Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
  • Identifies opportunities for performance improvement across the organization.
  • Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, or other related fields.
  • Strong working familiarity with accounting and financial reporting, using BI systems (ideally Sage and Tableau).
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced Excel skills required; working knowledge of VBA and/or SQL preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, achieve tight deadlines and take initiative on multiple projects.
  • Superior interpersonal skills are required; must have the ability to work well with teams.
  • CMS requires that all patient-facing staff, as well as those that are in contact with patient-facing staff, be fully vaccinated, or have a documented religious or medical exemption. This important rule is required for all healthcare organizations that receive federal funds through Medicare or Medicaid.
