Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Essential Duties: Coordinate inbound and outbound loads with drivers through window.Interpret and validate accuracy of receiving documentation.Coordinate dock door traffic with yard hostler.Communicate specific loading/unloading needs to forklift drivers and floor supervisors.Calculate Forklift Load/Unload sheets and validate all required documentation has been filled out correctly.Prepare and validate all shipping and receiving Bills of Lading in a timely and accurate manner.Verify and maintain complete records on incoming and outgoing shipments.Run end of shift reports and verify accuracy with Inventory Management System entries.Maintain Yard/Dock management system.Responsible for online confirmation of scheduled loads and overall management of load schedule.Keep immediate work area tidy and free of excessive paperwork.Communicate with carriers and customers via telephone, email, and customer web interface Non-negotiables: Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment and be a licensed forklift truck operator.Must be able to fill out bills of ladingMust be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
