Job Description Summary:
Responsible for managing all aspects of agency marketing, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer requests and concerns, facilitating patient’s transition to hospice.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
1. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payor sources.
2. Builds and monitors community, customer, payor and patient perceptions of the Agency as a high quality provider of services.
3. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of the Agency markets including government agencies, major payor groups, key referral sources, and competitor’s market positioning.
4. Continuously conducts market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections.
5. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and shares information with appropriate agency personnel.
6. Assists the Corporate Vice President of Sales Marketing in establishing agency volume projections in the annual budget and in establishing allocations for the marketing department. Monitors allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations.
7. Provides strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.
8. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by the Agency.
9. Monitors cost-effectiveness of marketing efforts.

Position Qualifications:
1. Experience in health care marketing, preferably in hospice operations.
2. Registered Nurse preferred.
3. Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
4. Knowledge of corporate business management.
5. Demonstrates good communications, negotiations, and public relations skills.
6 Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
