Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity is Hiring a Development Coordinator Near Wilmington, NC

You have a desire to “do good” in the community by working to connect others with Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build homes, communities, and hope. You have professional fundraising experience. You are articulate and able to comfortably and persuasively communicate with business, faith and community leaders to highlight the benefits of partnership with CFHFH. You are organized and can manage multiple projects and deadlines at a time. You have the patience to deal with unforeseen challenges and persevere to achieve your goals.

The Development Coordinator – Corporate & Faith Relations is a member of the development department at CFHFH and reports to the Director of Development. The individual is a member of and will work closely with the development team with the purpose of generating corporate and faith community sponsorships to meet revenue goals and serve the mission of building homes, communities and hope.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Achieve annual fundraising goals and key performance indicators
  • Refine and execute CFHFH's partnership development cycle in order to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of both corporate and faith-based donors for the affiliate
  • Develop and execute a plan to generate new partnerships and acquisitions for renewal or increased support from organizations in the community
  • Develop a donor recognition plan through the affiliate’s website, social media channels and print materials
  • Serve as project manager for special build events
  • Manage and solicit sponsorships for ReStore fundraising events
  • Provide support for all corporate philanthropy events
  • Prepare written materials and information packets
  • Serve as spokesperson at events to leverage donor engagement opportunities
  • Customize corporate donor benefits package offerings
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Professional development experience
  • Ability to speak publicly in front of large groups to solicit financial donations
  • Demonstrated ability to ability to plan, organize and implement multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Team player with the ability to quickly and successfully embrace change and adapt effectively in response
