Overview

Responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to ensure they meet company quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining relationships with the Operations teams to ensure production quality.
• Develop standard work for implementing in-process inspection points to ensure customer quality.
• Improve inspection programs and improvement activities. Assist in ensuring product quality and project deliverables. 
• Ensure that all inspections are in place to satisfy all customer requirements.
• Train others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures.
• Facilitate regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to support action plans for improving build quality.
• Work with Supplier Quality Assurance function to reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials on production.
• Undertake continuous training and development
• Support effective problem-solving, suggestions, small-circle activities and kaizen.
• Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
• Act as “boots-on-the-ground” quality representative.
• Provide technical expertise to the team.
• Develop and maintain positive team member relations centered on mutual trust, dignity, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, teamwork and harmony.
• Be proactive in predicting abnormalities and finding innovative solutions to correct.

Qualifications

Required Experience 

• Three years manufacturing experience

Preferred Experience  

• Automotive industry experience preferred, with parts production, quality or production control experience.

Travel Requirements

• Must be willing to travel to various manufacturing locations until final facility is operational.

Physical Requirements for Physical Positions

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to lift up to 25 or more pounds, stand, sit, bend/stoop, or operate office equipment or machinery.
