What You Will Do: Learn and perform our specialized coil welding process (no previous welding experience required) Weld finish cutting, grinding, and polishing Active participation in our safety program Active participation in our continuous improvement program Operation of process lines Fill out appropriate paperwork Housekeeping duties Assist Senior Operators in the maintenance of equipment Assist in monthly and quarterly inventory counts Operate crane and forklift to unload raw coils from truck trailers/load process line Loading of full transport reels and unloading of empty transport reels onto/off of transport trailers Other duties as required Position Details: Complete all initial training at our South Edmonton facility and dominantly work out of our facility near the Edmonton International Airport Travel between the two facilities may be required based on production demand Permanent Full-time Mainly working day shift operations, with overtime as required Weekend or night shift may be required dependent on business conditions Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Relevant experience is an asset but not required Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to follow written and oral instructions Basic math and analytical skills Good organizational and time management skills Physical Demands Pre-employment testing including drug & alcohol, vision, auditory, background check and physical demands assessment required upon hire Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
