Summary:
The Training Specialist is responsible for working with internal SME's to evaluate training needs, develop course content material, developing and managing the career development process and ensure compliance with internal training requirements. The Training Specialist will also assist the development of Succession Planning program.
Job Duties:
- Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas.
- In conjunction with SME's, develops training curricula and/or recommends or utilizes both internal resources and vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives.
- Formulates training outlines and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
- Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional goals and methods
- Assists in analyzing and assessing training and development needs for individuals, workstreams, and/or regional offices.
- Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs, utilizing interna record-keeping systems.
- Develops annual training budget with input and guidance from the Chief Process Officer and Chief Administrative Officer. Evaluates actual spend versus budget and works with appropriate parties when budgeted numbers will be exceeded or not utilized.
- In conjunction with Operations and Process groups, develops and delivers operational onboarding training. Monitors completion of training compared to required training matrix and advises employees and managers when actual training deviates from required training.
- Provides reports and status updates on training / development programs.
- Develops training matrix for each job role in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs).
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business (or relatable field) required.
- 1-5 years’ experience in a Training role required. Will consider up to 10 years’ experience.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication.
- Required ability to effectively deliver complex material of a technical nature and ability to analyze data.
- Required proficiency with MS Suite
