WHAT TO EXPECT DAY TO DAY

Camlin Energy has an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Field Services Technician Intern within the Global Services Department, USA. This 3 month internship is a great opportunity to apply the skills from the classroom out in the field. You will be given training and support to make sure you get the most out of your time with Camlin!

RESPONSIBILITES

• Being part of the team responsible for meeting daily service and repair needs and driving customer satisfaction
• Shadowing and training in installations, service and maintaining HV Transformer monitoring equipment in the field
• Documenting all inspections, maintenance, service work and submit paperwork in a timely basis
• Being part of the team responsible for orders, installs and return parts and managing repair cycle time
• Reviewing all logs for open issues and prepare formal reports to customers as necessary
• Ensuring that tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated
• Comply with and ensure compliance with company health, safety and environmental policies
• To operate to the highest business standards manage risk and protect the Camlin Group brand
• Prepare, update and submit appropriate reports as required by line management
• Other duties as required and/or assigned, including the same, similar, different or new positions within reasonable competence in other employer owned businesses

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• A positive, can-do attitude, keen to learn and develop your skills.
• IT proficient with good documentation management
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• A willingness to work additional hours and the flexibility to work weekends as required; must be able to travel within the specified region and possibly to other customer locations as and when required, therefore a current passport and driver’s license are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Either have or be working towards a diploma or degree in electrical / mechanical engineering or similar relevant qualification.

DESIRED CRITERIA

Candidates are expected to have one or more of the following: 

• Experience in reporting
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Demonstrate experience in critical thinking and independent working
• Demonstrate experience for customer interactions
