DEPARTMENT: Information Technology – IT

JOB TITLE: Network Administrator

SHIFT: 80 Hours Bi-Weekly, days, required to take call 

BENEFITS: This is a full time, benefit eligible position.

Summary/Objective

The Network Administrator configures, implements, and maintains network infrastructure and security to ensure compliance, integrity, performance, and availability of CMCH’s information systems. 

Essential Functions

  • Designs, implements, and maintains network infrastructure and information security systems
  • Performs network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
  • Performs monitoring and analysis of network and security infrastructure
  • Makes recommendations for improvements/enhancements to network
  • Ensures IT infrastructure maintains compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Drafts and maintains documentation including policies, standard operating procedures, configuration guides, and network diagrams 
  • Based on a rotating schedule, serves in an “on call” capacity per the IT On Call policy and procedures

Qualifications

Experience

  • Five or more years as a network engineer or administrator in an enterprise setting
  • Five or more years managing and troubleshooting enterprise grade routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure
  • Experience evaluating, designing, and implementing complex resilient network infrastructure
  • Three or more years managing server infrastructure with VMWare ESXi, Azure/AWS
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry (healthcare preferred)

Skills/Competencies

  • Enterprise routing and switching hardware and protocols
  • Enterprise firewall, IPS, and NAC configuration and maintenance
  • Cisco Meraki
  • Network automation
  • Cisco CUCM and Contact Center
  • Server and client operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux)
  • Ability to write detailed infrastructure documentation including policies and procedures

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Licenses Requirements

  • None

Certifications Required or Preferred

  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent
