Job title: Market Manager

Reports to: Chief Banking Officer

Department: Lending

Region: Southern California

Job Summary: Responsible for developing & overseeing one or more of our bank’s market areas. Mentors, trains and manages staff. Develops and grows deposit and loan business for branch through self or branch staff efforts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for business development activities of branch (deposit & loan production), including meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual branch sales goals. 
• Works with executive management to develop sales programs, goals and outlets to create and enhance earnings. 
• Develops and implements marketing activities to enhance branch profitability. 
• Develops and maintains a network of professionals and business leaders to generate business opportunities and to promote the Bank within the local community. 
• Facilitates cross selling of Bank services through the identification of opportunities and delivery of service. 
• Actively mentors and trains the office staff to ensure professional growth. 
• Oversees and reports monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of sales, portfolio quality, growing deposit relationships, compliance and other data as requested. 
• Responsible for the overall management of office portfolio including its adherence to the Bank's policies and procedures. Interfaces with internal and external auditors.
• Responsible for Bank’s positive client and employee culture being reinforced every day.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

BSA/AML Compliance Responsibilities: This position includes direct or indirect interaction with customers and other employees and therefore includes responsibilities relating to BSA/AML. The employee will have opportunity to examine and view information and documents produced by other employees of the Bank relating to BSA and therefore has the obligation to report suspicious activity to the BSA Officer as appropriate. The employee is responsible for understanding and following the Bank’s BSA/AML policies including elevating suspicious activity to the BSA Officer. Additionally, the employee is required to understand and follow the Bank’s compliance program.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a related field such as finance or business management or equivalent experience. 
• Four - 8 years’ senior level banking experience in a leadership role. 
• Extensive banking experience and knowledge of various bank products and services. 
• Ability to close deals.
• Proficient PC skills.
• Business development success in both loan and deposit growth. 
• Leadership skills including ability to motivate staff to meet office growth objectives. 
• Ability to create and develop business client relationships through networking and other sources. 
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills. 
• Able to work with all levels of employees, management and the Board.
• Ability to work with Senior Management to implement plans quickly.
