 The IT leader will be responsible for management of the application portfolio as well as all aspects of service delivery. The incumbent will work closely with other IT leaders, support teams, and stakeholders within Callon. This individual must demonstrate the ability to effectively consult with users to analyze complex issues, identify process improvement opportunities, automation alternatives and organizational readiness to achieve sustained benefits. The person should demonstrate strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills. This individual must be capable of establishing influential and collaborative relationships with management and other stakeholders.

  • Manage the portfolio of applications and the life cycles of the individual applications 
  • Develop and mentor staff to increase consulting and technical skills to increase the contribution of individuals and the entire team to the enterprise 
  • Embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes and adding value to our business 
  • Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making and recommendations 
  • Coach others and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development 
  • Use multiple sources of information to develop solutions and build sound recommendations 
  • ?Interface with all levels of the organization to identify requests and provide timely, high-quality support 
  • Lead smaller quick win efforts that provide value within the organization 
  • Interface with others in IT to evaluate, resolve and communicate system-related issues impacting users and escalate to management as applicable 
  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all stakeholders 
  • Prepare communications related to systems or process changes 
  • Demonstrate increased understanding of the business needs and priorities by working in conjunction with various groups 
  • Monitor, track and report on the status of service delivery and any related projects 
  • Ensure internal processes and standards are documented, implemented, and managed 
  • Contribute to the annual planning cycle and budget management 
  • Support the enterprise data management efforts, data warehouses, and reporting tools 

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  •  7 years of experience Information Technology implementing technology solutions; evaluating and recommending solution options and managing solution implementations 
  • At least 5 years of experience managing, coaching and mentoring an IT team 
  • Experience managing an Upstream Oil & Gas application portfolio 
  • Experience in managing vendor relations and managing acquisition of IT software and services in a cost-effective manner 
  • Knowledgeable about ITGCs, SOX controls and Project Management best practices 
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively on multiple priorities and projects 
  • Able to manage conflicting deadlines and competing priorities 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, at all levels of the organization 
  • Knowledge of ITIL service management principles a plus
