Delphi Behavioral Health Group is a growing network of substance abuse treatment facilities brought together with the common goal of inspiring wellness across the country. Delphi is currently recruiting for a Licensed Vocational Nurse for our California Addiction Treatment facility, located in Fallbrook, California.

Overview:

Direct Resident care specific to overseeing detoxification services and all medication and medical needs of Residents. Ability to effectively communicate with all staff, clinical and others, the physical and mental health needs of the Residents.

Specific Duties Include:

• Direct Resident care, including the reporting of observed changes in mental status and/or physical condition, response to emergencies, safety risks.
• Availability and timeliness in terms of 24 hr. coverage for consultation and emergencies and when unavailable, informs appropriate individuals.
• Coordination with contracted physicians to ensure all admission orders are addressed and appropriate ancillary assessments and services are provided.
• Completes documentation in an efficient and timely manner, including nursing assessments, transcription of physician's phone orders, appropriate policies and procedures, medication records, shift notes, progress relative to the Resident's treatment plan.
• Inclusion of physical health services and other related issues in Residents' treatment plans.
• Observation of detoxing Residents, following policy and procedure on observation and documentation of rounds.
• Properly QA Resident medication sheets to determine if Residents are receiving appropriate meds in a timely manner, including proper destruction of medication.
• Attendance and participation in terms of treatment planning conferences and professional staff meetings.
• Knowledge of basic principles, practices and techniques of alcohol and drug dependency and withdrawal
• Breathalyzer and Urinalysis testing; administer TB, Vivitrol, B12 and other injections as ordered by physician.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• Active or Current LVN/LPT license in the state of CA, current CPR/FA certification
• Minimum of one year nursing experience in psychiatric and/or alcohol and drug treatment settings.
