About the Position:

The Porter/Janitor is responsible for the upkeep of the grounds, maintenance, and cleaning of the interior and exterior of the property, as well as all landscaping duties. This is for a 178-unit apartment community designed exclusively for low-income seniors, age 62 and above, or households with disability at any age. The property is located in Durham, NC. Minor maintenance experience (e.g. painting and drywall) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, buff, and vacuum all floors as needed

• Clean management offices, clubrooms, kitchen, common areas, and bathrooms as needed

• Empty all trash cans on a daily basis and dispose of trash in designated areas

• Pick up garbage around the property daily

• Assist maintenance team as needed, including painting and work orders

Qualifications:

• Prior housekeeping, landscaping, and painting experience helpful

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Computer literacy required
