Responsibilities:

• Employee will provide support for USCENTCOM Resources and Analysis Directorate (CCJ8) requirements
• Provide on-site technical expertise and capability to develop management plans and policies for overseas contingency and base funding issues
• Develop and document requirements, provide review and assessment expertise during the budget formulation/resources request stage, and provide support with resources appropriation, allocation, and execution through closeout and appropriation cancellation
• Track theater inputs to ensure funding alignment with CCJ8 operational goals and objectives
• Prepare information papers, draft decision papers and briefings that inform the CCJ8 and USCENTCOM leadership of funding status, including future year requirements, funds in execution and prior appropriations before cancellation
• Review and assist USCENTCOM in interpretation of financial management policies, directives, and multi-level guidance

Requirements:

• 10 years of experience with defense financial management practices and procedures
• Master's Degree in a finance, accounting, or business-related field
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing at the 4-Star Combatant Command level

Preferred Qualifications:

• Designation as a Certified Defense Financial Manager
• Financial Management experience in a Combatant Command HQs
• Experience with Joint Planning processes
• Physically capable of short duration overseas travel
• Knowledge of and experience with automated financial systems, including DoD Costing tool, and analytic processes and tools to assist in decision making

Security Clearance:

• TS/SCI clearance is required
