Calabrio is Hiring a Cloud Operations Data Center Engineer Near Minneapolis, MN

We are looking for a Cloud Operations Data Center Engineer to become a member of the Cloud Operations team. This individual will focus on data center and solution administrative efforts in support of operational excellence for our hosted data center environment. They will perform operational tasks including (but not limited to) overseeing system automation tasks, system planning, support, and monitoring, platform monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. They will contribute to the design and implementation of operational procedures and policies.
What you'll be doing:
  • Maintain system software to latest versions and patch release levels
  • Support platform technologies, tools, and assets
  • Proactively monitor environment utilizing best practices
  • Learn other technologies as necessary to maintain and support other application platforms
  • Help with the maintenance and upgrading of customer databases (SQL Server & Aurora PostgreSQL) and underlying technologies
  • Use and propose enhancements to deployment pipelines with orchestrators such as Azure DevOps (ADO) or comparable tools
  • Use and propose enhancements to Infrastructure as Code configurations with Terraform and AWS CDK
  • Perform Unix/Windows server and application instance management.
  • Monitor and report on capacity for both organic growth and new business to the environment
  • Maintain operational, configuration and other procedures
  • Expand knowledge of programming techniques and databases
  • Work to continually to develop and improve processes, methodologies, and approaches
  • Perform application release deployments and provide continuous process improvement for application releases
  • Learn from continuous improvement. Share knowledge and mentor other team members.
  • Monitor and resolve incoming support related work items and partner as needed other team members
We're looking for:
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows Server administration, VMWare virtualization, Linux server administration, application and server load balancing, network and VPN configurations and routing.
  • Experience with data center delivered operations, Linux and Windows administration in a virtualized environment, fundamental Java and .Net Core code and applications, and operational experience in Kubernetes, Apache Tomcat, shell and Python scripting, DBMS supporting MS SQL, PostgreSQL, etc., and support of file systems and database files.
  • Experience with orchestration and teaming in a DevOps culture, good verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn software and hardware tools where necessary, work on multiple projects simultaneously, multitask effectively, perform systems analysis and design, meet deadlines and work under pressure, and perform on-call rotations and occasional after-hours work requests.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, or related fields, or experience
  • Must have 5 years related work experience in most Core Competencies
  • Experience with teaming in an Agile or DevOps culture
  • Must be detailed and process oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to maintain security clearance in order to comply with the law, regulation, or executive order, or required by Federal, State, or Local Government Contract
