Due to Company growth, we are seeking to add a Senior General Ledger Accountant to our accounting team at our office in San Francisco’s Financial District. An ideal candidate is patient, a self-starter, extremely detailed, and has a strong desire to support their fellow team members. Hybrid remote work position.

About the Position:

• Generate the Company and joint venture financial statements in accordance with US GAAP,
• Manage an accurate and deadline driven monthly, quarterly, and annual close process,
• Oversee all general ledger accounting activity as well as lead the revenue recognition process in accordance with the percentage of completion method including the WIP reconciliation,
• Joint venture accounting on the equity method,
• Assist with preparation of the audit schedules and year-end audit work papers in partnership with external CPA firm,
• Provide audit support for various insurance, project owner or partners, state and local agencies as needed,
• Perform daily Accounts Payable tasks including interaction and communication with vendors,
• Coding and inputting invoices into the accounting system (high volume),
• Work in conjunction with the C.F.O. to ensure accurate cash flow reporting on a monthly basis,
• Generate multiple owner billing using Viewpoint on a monthly basis,
• Provide support to the C.F.O. including ad hoc reporting and special projects as requested by upper management,
• Budget maintenance and variance reporting.

The Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field,
• Experience in preparing financial statements and a solid understanding of the month-end close process and related reconciliations to subsidiary records,
• Prior exposure to the construction industry and percentage of completion accounting,
• Experience in construction industry specific ERP systems,
• Extremely detailed with a high standard for quality and accuracy,
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

The Like to Haves:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) or other like certification,
• Public Accounting experience in an auditing role is a plus,
• Experience or familiarity with Viewpoint Vista Construction software and/or Procore,
• Writing custom reports via Crystal Reports, SSRS or PowerBI,
• Construction industry experience

The base salary for this role is targeted at $110,000.

The actual base salary offered will be determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, qualifications, and market considerations.
